Driven by a lifelong interest in art, design, and architecture, self-taught cabinetmaker and furniture designer Tom Padfield founded Portal Bespoke in Stroud in 2019.
Tom's journey into woodworking began in childhood, building model boats in his Uncle’s garage, starting his fascination with the process of finding creative solutions to practical problems, and instilling an understanding of materials and construction.
Today, Portal Bespoke crafts fitted and freestanding furniture for:

Our Process
We make creating your perfect furniture straightforward as possible
1. Design
Following initial discussions and a site survey we provide a written estimate and a set of design drawings that can be further fine tuned to suit your needs.
2. Make
With design and price finalised, your furniture is built and finished by hand in our Stroud workshop, with us keeping you informed throughout the process with progress updates.
3. Install
With the majority of the work already complete, installation can be done quickly and with minimal disruption in your home.
